Coral Code is a two-person studio. We pick problems we live with ourselves, build the app we wanted, and ship it to the people standing in the same spot. Our first is Lumis — a planner that reads your syllabus and learns your courses.

Our mission

Take the parts of life that are harder than they need to be and turn them into software that quietly handles it.

Not platforms. Not dashboards for their own sake. Apps small enough that one person can understand the whole thing, made for a problem we've personally had — and finished, not perpetually in beta. Every product we make has to earn its place on a home screen we use every day.

Every product starts as a problem one of us actually had. If we'd stop using it after a month, we don't start.

Two people, self-funded, no outside money. It means fewer things at once — and every one of them done properly.

How we treat you

Your data isn't the product

You pay for the app, so the app works for you. We don't sell your data, and anything you upload stays yours to delete.

Lumis ships for a semester that starts whether we're ready or not. Deadlines we can't move keep us honest.

Who we are

Two friends, one shared frustration, a lot of late nights

Coral Code is Hudson and Jesse — students at the University of Miami who got tired of complaining about the same software and decided to build a replacement instead.

We work the way two people can: one of us lives in the product and the plan, the other lives in the code. No handoff meetings, no roadmap by committee — a conversation and a commit.

The name comes from where we are. Coral reefs are built by small organisms doing small, patient work, and the result outlasts anything a single one of them could make. That's the studio we want: build carefully, keep adding, let it compound.

Finance student, golfer, and the organized one — the friend whose calendar people borrow before exams. Hudson decides what gets built and makes sure it works the way real students behave, not the way a spec says they do.

Upload your syllabus and Lumis builds the entire semester — every deadline, quiz and exam on one calendar, weighted by what each one is worth. Then you feed it your lecture notes, slides and readings, and it researches the course itself to fill the gaps. What comes back is flashcards, practice quizzes, study plans and a tutor that knows your class, not a generic one.
